“Invader Zim” is a darkly funny animated series that follows Zim, an overzealous alien from the Irken Empire who’s determined to conquer Earth (and impress his leaders) despite being hilariously incompetent.
In the show, Zim disguises himself as a human schoolboy while plotting increasingly bonkers schemes. With “help” from his glitchy robot sidekick GIR (often in a green dog suit) and constant interference from paranormal-obsessed Dib—plus deadpan Gaz, Professor Membrane, and the towering Irken leaders—the plans usually backfire in spectacular fashion.
